For a trailer brake controller that will work great with your Toyota Tundra and trailer, I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885. This is an excellent, proportional controller that will activate the trailer brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your Tundra. It features an easy to read, digital display and continuous diagnostics that will alert you to any potential issues. This unit is well known for its reliability and ease of use.
Then, if your 2007 Tundra is equipped with the factory 7-Way connector, you will just need the Plug-In Adapter # 3040-P to install the controller. One end of the adapter will connect to the brake controller itself and the other end will connect directly to the built-in port beneath the truck's dash.
If your Tundra instead came with the factory 4-Way connector, you will need the Hopkins Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole # 37185 to complete the wiring or, if there is not a brake controller port under the dash, the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This particular kit includes everything needed to install a fully functional 7-Way from the existing 4-Way, along with the needed wiring for the brake controller.
I have attached the installation instructions for these products that you can also check out.
