The installation of the spring bars on a weight distribution system will vary depending on brand. However, generally speaking the process will be very similar for a round and trunnion bar system. In regards to the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System, the round bars will slide up into the head and click into place whereas the trunnion bars just slide in straight and lock into place using a pin. I wouldn't really say one is easier to use than the other, just different.
The only real difference between a round and trunnion spring bar system is ground clearance. A trunnion bar system will offer greater ground clearance than a round bar system. A trunnion bar system will be better for smaller SUV's and crossovers whereas a round bar system will be better for larger trucks.
Please keep in mind that the weight distribution system will need to be based off of the total tongue weight (TTW) of the trailer and any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
