Trailer Hitch for a Bike Rack on a 2016 Ford Focus

Question:

Needing a hitch for 2016 ford focus ST. I already have a Thule bike rack that I used on,previous vehicle. Need some direction. Thanks

Your best choice for your 2016 Ford Focus ST is the Curt Class I Receiver, part # C11431. This is a Class I, 1-1/4 inch shank hitch that will be limited to two bikes. If your current rack doesn't have a "combo" shank that lets it switch between a 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitch, or it is a 2 inch hitch, I recommend outright replacing it with a rack like the Thule Helium Aero, part # TH9042PRO.

The Thule Helium Aero includes both bike and hitch locks, as well as fold up and tilt-away features for better flexibility. One of its greatest features is the integrated hitch pin, making installation and removal a breeze. Since its a hanging rack, you may need a frame adapter bar, part # 64005 for aggressive, step through, children's and women's bikes.
