Flat Tow Wiring for a 1965 Ford Mustang with 1 Wire System
Question:
Hi I have a 1965 mustang and i want to add a tow bar, the rear tail light, brake light and turn signal are all on the same line will your product Item # 118158 split these out so I can wire up my trailer to have taillight, brake light and turn signal?

Since you have what is know as a 1 wire system the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter part # 118158 will not work for you. Unfortunately, there isn't really a simple wiring solution that will allow you to retain stop, turn, and tail signals on your 1965 Ford Mustang while in tow. The converter box would only split the 1 wire into 2 functions meaning you would lose the stop, turn, or tail light. Instead, I recommend using a set of magnetic tow lights like part # TL21RK as this will give you all three tail light functions and not require any modifications to the vehicle's wiring harness.
