What Truck Bed Liners Can be Used with B and W Companion Fifth Wheel Hitches

Question:

Im looking at purchasing the BandW Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs Item # BWRVK3400-5W. The question I have is, I currently have a plastic bed liner that is very rigged. Do I need to remove that for this hitch to work or do I need to remove it and get the bed sprayed?

I checked with B&W and with the Companion hitch # BWRVK3500-5W you would either need to remove the bedliner or trim it in the footprint of the entire base so it will have direct contact with the bed. The reason for this is because a slide-in bedliner can move around some and you do not want that happening when towing a 5th wheel trailer! I linked a video review of the Companion for you.

If you wanted to remove the entire bedliner and go with a spray in one instead that might be the better option.
