Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System Compatibility with Empty R-pod with 250 lb Tongue Weight

Question:

Can I use a 94-00-0600 WDH for a r pod with a TW of 250lbs when trailer is empty. the reason is that I have one and do not know if I can use it or not.

The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA94-00-0600 is rated for a minimum total tongue weight of 400 lbs. If your unloaded trailer only has 250 lbs, then unless you have 150 lbs behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle, it could cause too much of a rigid ride and thus possibly even create bounce. If the ride when empty is too rigid, then I recommend taking the spring bars off when empty. If it is not too rough, then I recommend utilizing the system for the sway control feature.
