Trailer Hitch Receiver Options for a 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Good morning, I was wondering if you might be able to answer a few questions about the proper trailer hitch for a 2011 Subaru Outback? Would this model only take a 1.25inch hitch, or a 2inch hitch? Or could it do either?

The 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon has both 1-1/4" trailer hitch receivers like part # 36493 and 2" trailer hitch receivers like part # 75673. I recommend using a 2" trailer hitch receiver as this will allow for a larger trailer to be towed and also a much wider variety of hitch mounted accessories to be used.
I have attached an install video of the 2" hitch on a similar 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon. If you can tell me what you will be using the hitch for I would be glad to provide some additional recommendations for you.
