What Shank to use With Curt Round Bar Weight Distribution System C17057
Question:
I have the Curt WD 17002. I had it setup for 2001 F150 orig. Now trying to use on 2017 F250. Shank comes up a little short, trailer hitch coupler top sits at 19 inches, shank on hitch can only get to 24, can I use the C17123 or C17124? is one better than other? trailer is 8000lbs

It sounds like you need to get more drop with your Curt Weight Distribution System # C17057. If that is the case, either of the shanks you referenced would work for you. Shank # C17123 will offer your round bar system up to 8-1/2 inches of drop while shank # C17124 will give you up to 10 inches of drop.
Each of these shanks are designed for use with Curt weight distribution systems and neither could honestly be termed better than the other. There is only really a difference in dimensions, with the drop, as well as length, with # C17123 measuring 7 inches from the center of the pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes and # C17124 measuring 9 inches so if you do need more length as well that would be the shank to use.
I've added links to video reviews of both shanks for you to take a look at as well.
