Compatibility Of Install Points With Spray In Bedliner

Question:

Will this hitch attach securely to the factory underbed rails if the bed has a spray in liner? Im concerned about the tolerances of the attachment pins with the added 1/8inch to 3/16inch of material between the hitch and the rails.

Me and my contact at Demco RV confirmed the following information: The # DM8550038 is a 21K Auto Slide for a Ford with the factory 5th Wheel Prep System. The Demco auto slide will set down on the Ford Factory installed pucks. I would assume the shop applying the bed liner taped off the pucks and didn’t cover them with liner. If so, the liner may need to be removed just from the top of the pucks. There are also 2 shims at the tops of the pins on the mounting plates.

See attached manual step #1 talks about removal of the one or two shims if the pins fit too tightly. I'm send this attachment in a separate email.
