Weight Distribution Recommendation for Trailer that Weighs 3,000 lbs
Question:
I have a curt class3 hitch on my volvo xc60. Do I need to add the weight distribution system if im towing a 3000 lb airstream?

If the weight of your trailer is over 50 percent of the total trailer weight capacity for your vehicle then a weight distribution system is recommended.
For a 3,000 lb trailer you tongue weight would most likely be between 300 and 450 lbs so for a WD system the part # RP66082 would be best option as it has tongue weight range of 200-600 lb and features only sway control to work to prevent sway before it starts.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
