Can the 2017 GMC Canyon 4WD Crew Cab Short Box Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer Properly?

Will the rails for the Curt A20 16140 fit in the bed of my 2017 Canyon 4WD SLE Crew Short Box properly? Thank you!

Your 2017 GMC Canyon 4WD will not tow a 5th wheel trailer properly. Unfortunately the payload and towing capacity of your light duty truck will not allow for a 5th wheel trailer according to the manufacturer, so I can't recommend installing a 5th wheel hitch like the Curt A20 Slider # C16541 even though the universal rails like # C16100 might fit. We do not have a confirmed fit for the rails because they haven't been tested on your application due to the towing capacity of 7,000 lbs when the trailering package from the factory is present.

I recommend going with a travel trailer instead. Let me know if you have further questions.
