I do have a solution for you, but if your 2018 Ram 3500 already has a B&W Gooseneck Hitch installed you will not be able to install a base rail kit. The mounting brackets for the gooseneck hitch and the base rail kit use the same locations which is why they are not compatible. To adapt your B&W gooseneck hitch so that you can use a 5th wheel hitch that fits industry standard rails you will just need the Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter # DM6140.

This was specifically designed to fit the B&W gooseneck hitches and has an adjusting mount to accommodate bed mats and liners. As long as your 5th wheel hitch is compatible with industry standard base rails this is the perfect solution for you.

This adapter has a 21,000 lb weight capacity, was made in the USA, and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.

Please note that you should not use this adapter with the Demco Hijacker Autoslide hitch or any other automatic sliding fifth-wheel trailer hitch. You also cannot tow a trailer with a rotating pin box, like a Sidewinder, if you are using the B&W gooseneck hitch. Since you don't have a short bed you will only need a stationary hitch and a standard pin box so you are good to go.

If you don't already have a 5th wheel hitch you can actually just use the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500-5W which installs directly into the gooseneck hitch. the B&W Companion is considered by most to be the best 5th wheel hitch out there.
