2018 Rav4 AWD Limited Hybrid Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation

Question:

What can you recommend to install a combination 2 inch hitch and single or double bike rack. Can you recommend someone in my area who can install the hitch? Bourbonnais, Illinois 60914 Im an avid cyclists but at 69, I am no longer interested in crawling under my new car. And I dont trust my skill.

For your 2018 Toyota Rav4 the etrailer hitch part # e98864 would be the hitch to go with as it is confirmed as a fit and towing capacities. It's also the most popular option we have and compatible with Hybrid models.

I really like the Saris Freedom Superclamp part # SA4025F. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be easy to install and remove from your vehicle since it's light, but also it'll be very easy to load bikes on since it's a platform rack.

This rack also only touches bikes at the tire so it protects any damage to delicate frame materials or finishes.

For the install of the hitch I would recommend finding a local mechanic to you with a good reputation and let them do it. Hitch installs are pretty basic for more mechanics and they'd have no problem.
