Recommended Trailer Axles for 83 Inch Wide Car Trailer
Question:
Looking for axle length and spring hanger centers for a car trailer with 83inch wide frame

With an 83 inch frame, the spring locations could be at multiple points. If you are replacing axles, you will need to know your dimensions for the hub face to hub face length, the spring locations center on center, and the weight capacity you need.
We do not carry any through axles that will fit your application, but we do have an Axle-less system that will work for you and you don't need the dimensions listed above. If 7,000 lb axles work for your application, I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/ Brake Flange - Regular Tires - 7K # TASR7KS01. This system will allow you to replace axles on a single or tandem axle trailer, but cannot be used in triple axle applications. The units simply bolt to your trailer frame and then you use a 2 inch square tube (not included) that is cut to the appropriate length for the integrated holes of the system. The integrated rubber springs replace the leaf spring system on your trailer. I've attached a video to assist.
Then you will need to add brakes and hubs. For hubs, I recommend the Dexter # 42866UC3-EZ. For brake assemblies, I recommend # AKEBRK-7-SA for electric brakes or # AKFBBRK-7 for hydraulic brakes.
