Will 1/2 Inch Wheel Studs Fit Dexter Hub 8-219-4UC3-EZ?
Question:
I used a dial caliper to measure stud size on hub/drum assembly. They measured 1/2 inch. I know a 1/2 inch nut will not thread on studs. Will the 8-219-4uc3-ez accept my existing lugs? Or how will I know. It took 13/16 socket size to remove. Also the stamp on my drum assembly is 8-219

If you measured the stud size on your hub and drum assembly and they measured 1/2 inch then they may work with the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-219-4UC3-EZ, which also uses 1/2 inch wheel studs. The fact they are both 1/2" does not necessarily mean they will thread onto the new studs as they may be different thread pitches. Keep in mind those are for E-Z Lube axles so if you did not have those you could also use the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-219-4UC3.
You will need to make sure all the other aspects of the hub and drum assembly line up as well; both need to have 8 on 6-1/2" bolt patterns, inner bearing 25580 (1.75" inner diameter), outer bearing 14125A (1.25" inner diameter) and grease seal GS-2125DL (inner diameter of 2.125" and outer diameter of 3.376").
I've added a link to a video review of these assemblies as well.
