Trailer Hitch Needed for a 2008 Ford F-350 is a Stake Bed Truck with Rear Liftgate

Question:

Good evening, I have a 2008 Ford F350 Stake Bed Truck with a Thieman General Purpose Liftgate Model TT-16RMET - 1600 pound capacity. Do you have any suggestions on how I can add a trailer hitch to pull a trailer. I need to pull a tractor about 2000 lbs on a trailer, carry hay, and general farm use with the trailer. Thank you,

Since your 2008 Ford F-350 is a Stake Bed Truck you will need to look at the trailer hitches that fit an F-350 Cab and Chassis. I have linked our selection for you to filter through.

The most popular choice is the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25122. It is a Class V hitch with a 2" receiver that has a Gross Towing Weight (GTW) rating of 16,000 lbs and a Tongue Weight (TW) rating of 1,600 lbs. B&W is well known for the quality of their products that are made right here in the USA.

Although we haven't test fit this hitch on your F-350 specifically, I can tell you that the rear most mounting hole is about 12 inches away from where the rear most edge of the receiver is (see attached picture). Since this is a custom fit trailer hitch you can use that measurement to help determine if it will work out for you or not.
