Can Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net and E-Track be Mounted Outside of the Center of the Tires

Question:

Erickson tie down straps with E track Must the etrack be mounted under the wheel? If mounted outside the whee base I would think it easier to work the ratchets. I’m concerned about releasing ratchet and the fender clearance. I will be hauling a Kia Soul.

Ideally you will want to place the Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net # 77314 so that the strap is centered on the tire tread. A little off center would be fine though. You can position the ratchet part so that it is closer to the center of the wheel allowing you to operate the ratchet without hitting a fender or quarter panel.

Please note that E-Track is not included. If you need some small sections of E-Track we have a 2 foot section, # EM59150 and 5 foot section, # E19148.
