1-7/8-Inch Ball Trailer Coupler for Straight Channel Tongue Trailer
Question:
Hi, I need a hitch coupler that uses a 1 7/8 ball, is at least 3inch wide, the channel is 3 1/4 but needs only 2 1/4inch between center of bolts. Do you have any that short? Thanks.

It sounds like you need a bolt-on 1-7/8-inch coupler for a trailer with a channel tongue. The couplers like this that we offer are shown on the linked page. These are available as both standard couplers and brake actuator couplers. Just click on the type you need.
For instance, part # CT-2003-Z is a 2K-rated 1-7/8-inch trigger latch coupler for a 3-inch tongue. These mounting holes are spaced apart 2-1/4-inches on center. Please see the linked video.
These items are made to fit channel dimensions of 2-inches, 2-1/2-inches and 3-inches. If needed, steel spacers can be placed between the tongue and inside of the coupler to make up for any differences in dimensions when the coupler is larger. If your trailer tongue is actually 3-1/4-inches wide we do not have a coupler to match.
