Brake Controller and Install Harness Recommendation for 2015 Chevy Traverse
Question:
I have a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse. It has the factory towing package installed. When I remove the hitch cosmetic cover I see the hitch and there is a 7 pin socket as well with wiring running up under the vehicle. What do I need to install the trailer brake controller and have all lights and brakes function? Any fuses, relays, etc?

So you have the tow package on your 2015 Chevy Traverse which means to install a brake controller all you need is the correct install harness like the part # 3026-P which is designed to fit Tekonsha brake controllers.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes. This will be the last brake controller you buy. It can easily be transferred to future vehicles as well.
