Recommended 26 Inch Leaf Springs for 3750 lb Tandem Axle Boat Trailer
Question:
Thank you for your response. The Manufacturer calls for 26” springs. The current springs are 26” when loaded and leave about 1 inch on each side to the center mount for the equalizer. (see pictures). My concern is that the new springs could flatten out to 28” under extreme conditions. That would move them 2 inches into a 1 inch space. What do you think? Thanks again.

The 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 4,500-lb Trailer Axles - 26" Long # e27SR will be the closest fit for your 3750 lb axle. Having leaf springs rated slightly higher is normal because you will be limited in capacity by the weakest component on your trailer and normally you want that to be your axle. These springs will not be too strong for that axle as to cause too firm a ride.
