Removing the Crossbars From the Thule XSporter Pro Ladder Rack
Question:
I have a 2017 Chevy Colorado 5 foot bed. I was wondering if the crossbar apparatus is removable after installation, leaving the base clamped to the side rail? Thanks.

The Thule Xsporter, part # TH500XTB, can have its crossbars removed from the bases, leaving them installed and the bases clamped to the bedrails. I wouldn't recommend doing so, as you can also just remove the base's clamps and uninstall the entire unit in about the same amount of time as removing the bars.
