Choosing Correct Ball Mount for 2005 Dodge Ram with Trailer Coupler Height of 18-1/2 Inches

Question:

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Reg. Cab. 6 Ft bed...I have part 75151, but not sure what Ball mount to buy..my pop up camper is at level is 18 1/2

You are half way there! Simply measure from the top of your receiver down to the ground. The difference between that measurement and the 18-1/2 inches from your trailer coupler to the ground would be the rise or drop you would need. For instance, if the distance from the top of the receiver tube to the ground was 21-1/2 inches, the difference between that and your coupler height would be a drop of 4 inches. If this is the case with your truck, a ball mount with a drop of 4 inches like part # 2753 would be ideal for you.
