B&W 5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation

Question:

I have 2017 F250 with 8foot bed 4X4 gas 6.2L and looking for a top rail mount 5th hitch. 5th wheel is 31foot long max weight 10,500 lbs and pin weight 1900 lbs. I want a good hitch that has the least amount of pin noise and chucking. My RV dealer recommended the Husky double pivot but would the single hook jaw give us the least amouint of pin noise and chucking. I like the BandW Patriot.

For your 2017 Ford F-250 4WD long-bed pickup without the factory tow prep package the B&W hitch option is the under-bed-mount Companion hitch # BWRVK3500-5W and the installation rail kit # BWGNRK1116-5W which doubles as a gooseneck hitch. For towing flexibility this setup is pretty tough to beat and the build quality of B&W hitches is well-known.

B&W fabricates these hitches entirely in their Kansas factory and the Companion includes features like extra-thick 1-inch jaws for a tight grip on your trailer's king pin. Its 20K rating means it will have lots of safety margin for your 10K trailer set-up. Best of all, when you need the bed clear to haul cargo all you need to do is take out the hitch. B&W backs this system with a limited lifetime warranty.

For an in-bed wiring harness you can use # C57008 which plugs in at your factory bumper-mounted 7-way, no splicing required.

All hitch options for your truck are shown on the linked page.
