Does Roadmaster Base Plate Install on 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Require Modification

Question:

Good Afternoon, I just watched a YouTube video you published today regarding the installation of the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit Installation on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I actually have the same vehicle 4x4 Unlimited Big Bear and am currently doing research as I plan to buy an RV and would like to tow my Jeep. My biggest worry is that my vehicle is leased and I do not want to be penalized if I cannot turn the vehicle in still in its original state. Can you please confirm that as stated in the video, the base plate in question was designed to use all existing mounting holes on the frame of the vehicle and the only actual modification is the rock plate that needs to be removed and modified cut? If that is the case, I can probably just buy a new rock plate or what ever its called and simply re-install this component prior to turning in the vehicle unless I buy it. If I need to do any kind of drilling in to the frame, cut wiring, etc., I may try to think of another solution. Thank you very much,

I checked the install instructions for the Roadmaster base plate kit # RM-521448-4 which is a fit for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and like you said the only permanent modifications needed is the trimming of the rock guard like in the picture I attached. If you are okay with replacing that once you remove the base plate kit the place you leased the vehicle from wouldn't be able to tell you had a base plate kit installed at all.
