Recommended 2 Inch Dual Hitch Adapter for Flat Towing a Vehicle

Can I tow a small car, approximately 2600 lbs weight, with the Malone dual hitch model MPG544? I tow the car behind my motorhome. The receiver on my motorhome is rated for 5000 lbs.

The Malone Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver part # MPG544 can be used to flat tow a vehicle however, this adapter reduces the tongue weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50%. It may still work for you with the reduced tongue weight capacity but I have a better solution for you.

The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter part # RM-077-4 is specifically designed for flat towing applications and will not reduce the tongue weight capacity on your RV's hitch. The adapter is rated at 10,000 lbs GTW and 400 lbs tongue weight (TW) therefore will work well for you.
