Can Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 Install In Dash, Like Factory Controller Of 2011 Ford F-150
Question:
Bought a 2011 ford f 150 that does not have the trailer brake controller - can a trailer brake controller be mounted in the dash where the space is if it had come from the factory with one?

You can install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 with Wiring harness # 22292, on your 2011 Ford F-150, but it cannot be installed in the dash pocket where the factory brake controller would install. Ford does not allow the manufacturer of their OEM Ford factory brake controller to produce an aftermarket version. Any aftermarket brake controller, like the P2 will need to be mounted under the dash.
If your 2011 F-150 has a factory 7-way at the rear, all you will need is Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Proportional Brake Controller # 90885 with Ford Adapter, # 22292. If your truck just has a factory 4-flat, you will need Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole, part # 37185.
I have linked instructions and a video installation of the P2 brake controller being installed on a 2010 Ford F-150.
