Can a Roof Rack Fit on Different Vehicles by Just Changing the Fit Kit?

Can one just change out the fit kit and use the same foot pack and cross bars? Thanks for the help!

Most roof rack systems will allow you to change out your fit kit for use on other vehicles. For instance, you can use the same towers like the Thule Rapid Traverse # TH480R, and the same crossbars like (as long as the crossbars are a useable length on your different vehicle) and just change the custom fit kit to match the different vehicle. For new WingBar Evo you would use # TH711420.

So, you could have two vehicles in your garage and have one set of crossbars, one set of towers, and two fit kits to make the system work on either vehicle. I've linked a couple videos on different vehicles to assist. Because this is the case, I definitely recommend using locks like the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450400 to secure it so nobody else has the same idea for your roof rack.
