The e just needs to be on a 12v source that is on with ignition? So I could use a switched fuse in the fuse box?

A battery isolator like the Deka # DW08770 and the higher-capacity 120-amp-rated # DW08771 need a 12V input signal to close them, which then allows battery power to pass through. You can turn that trigger signal on and off using a circuit controlled by the vehicle ignition key, such as a power antenna circuit, by using a fuse tap like # F2526.
You certainly could use another method to switch that trigger signal on and off, such as a switched fuse.
