Recommendations for a Roof Rack Mounted Tandem Bike Rack
Question:
is it compatible to tandem?

The Yakima FrontLoader # Y02103 is not compatible with tandem bikes but we do have some roof bike racks that are made for tandem bikes. All of them are fork-mount racks. We have the Thule # TH558P. To make loading easier the fork mount pivots so you can attach the bike and then swing it up and onto the rack to secure the rear of the bike. I have linked a video of this rack for you.
Please note that this rack is designed to fit square bars that are 1-1/4 inches wide by 7/8 inches tall or round bars that are 1-1/8 inches outer diameter.
