Connector Recommendation to Wire in Trailer Brakes

What is the correct electrical connector to use to reconnect my brake wires at the axle after installing new electric brake kits?

You can use butt connectors like the part # DW05745-10 or if you have a soldering iron you can solder the connections and then wrap the connections in electrical tape like part # DW04367.

The butt connectors have a nylon insulation that you can apply a heat gun to which will also insulate the connection. If this is a boat trailer it's important to make the connections as waterproof as possible.
