How to Install the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System

Question:

If I already have a 7 pin adapter installed that is used for a 5-pin flat connection, can I install another 7-pin adapter in tandem to power this camera system? I have a 2011 Ford F-150 Crew Cab Lariat 4WD Ecoboost. Thanks

You would not be able or need to install a 7-pin adapter in tandem to power the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002. If your 2011 Ford F-150 has a factory 7-way, the Hopkins Backup Camera will plug into the back side of the OEM connector while allowing you to retain it's use.

If you do not have a factory 7-way you will need to hardwire the Hopkins Backup Camera into the reverse lights on your F-150 in order to get the system to work. I've attached a link to the instructions for you to take a look at, as well as a link to a video review and install.
