For that size frame, you will need to use a custom axle as most 3500 lb axles have a spring seat dimension of 74 inches and 89 inch hub to hub measurement. I recommend you use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs - Straight Spindle - 3,500 lbs # A35RS545E. This will give you the hubs, bearings, brakes, and suspension system for your trailer. All you need to add is the wiring and the 2 inch square tube to install into the integrated holes on the assemblies. This will allow you to have a trailer with 48 inch wide frame without any issue. The hub face will be 6 inches past your frame rail on each side. This will give you a 60 inch hub face to hub face dimension.
For the brake wiring, I recommend # 10-2-1.
