Compatibility of Lippert SolidStep RV Step Assemblies

Question:

Will the Lippert Solid Step work on a Cross Roads 2012 Sunset Trail Reserve? The closer for the door is threshold mounted only allowing door to open 90 degrees unlike most doors that swing 180 degrees.

The fit of RV steps such as the Lippert SolidStep units like # LC791572 depends on the size of your trailer door opening. This specific 3-step model fits RVs with a doorway that is 26 inches wide to 29-7/8 inches wide and a threshold height of 27- to 36-inches from the ground to the floor of the RV.

Part # LC791574 is a similar 4-step unit that fits a doorway width of 28-inches with a ground-to-threshold height range of 35- to 44-inches.

I checked the NADA guide for details on your travel trailer but things like door size and height are not included for the 20-some model in the Sunset Trailer series. Based on the photos I reviewed I could see nothing to indicate an issue using these steps. Since Lippert makes 90-percent of the trailer frames produced in the U.S. this usually means a good fit for their aftermarket products.
