Recommended Weight Distribution System Shank for Blue Ox SwayPro 1500 for Maximum Ground Clearance
Question:
I have a 2017 F350 4x4, 20inch wheels. I also have a BlueOX Swaypro BXW 1500. I tow a 2016 25foot Airstream International. Measurement to the Airstream hitch is 17.75inch and measurement to the top of my hitch receiver on the F350 is 24. Looks like I need 6-7 inch maybe 5. What is the best shank to pair with this and not run into ground clearance issues with the bottom of the shank? The BlueOX 11 hole seems expensive and long. I also looked at the Curt welded 7.

Based on your measurement of your trailer and your receiver, you will need a drop of 6.25 inches. The Curt Welded Weight Distribution Shank 7" - 10 Hole Adjustment # C17123 has a maximum drop of 8-1/4 inches so it will work well with your Blue Ox System and offer you the most ground clearance. The manufacturer difference between the shank and the system is not an issue as this shank and your Blue Ox SwayPro BXW 1500 # BXW1500 are compatible.
