Recommended 3rd Step for Shast RV
Question:
can this step be fitted to an existing two step system on a Shast RV to make it a three step system

Expert Reply:
The Flexco Manual Pull-Out Step for RVs - Single - 7-1/2" Drop/Rise - 24" Wide - 350 lbs # SMFP-1100 cannot be added to an existing 2 step system. You would need to replace the 2 step system with a 3 step to gain that additional step. You may consider the Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps for RVs - Triple - 8" Drop/Rise - 24" Wide - 350 lbs # SMFP-3100 for that application.
If you want to keep the 2 step and just add another portable step when needed, then I recommend the Safety Step Adjustable Height, Folding Platform Step - Aluminum - 24" x 16" - 1,000 lbs # SASXLA-09C-G which has folding and adjustable legs for storage and leveling. When collapsed for storage it is 4 inches tall and when in use is adjustable from 7 to 8-1/2 inches tall in 1/2 inch increments.
