Is There Underbody Trimming Required to Install Curt Hitch on 2017 BMW X3 M Sport
Question:
With the two hitches offers for the X3. If the x3 has the Msport package will the facia need to be trimmed or just the underbody? Thx

I checked with Curt and they list Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # C13316 as a fit for all models of the 2017 BMW X3. But what that means for your M Sport version is that there could be additional trimming required to install the hitch. For more information on trimming please see the instructions for this hitch which I have linked for you.
I attached a picture of the underbody panel trim diagram for you to check out as well.

I am planning to pull a Uhaul trailer 5 by 8 with this spec.does the hitch has 3,500.00 lbs rating. and total weight of cargo is 1,800 lbs. can your hitch handle it
