Can Blue Wire of Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector HM47900 be Used for Reverse Circuit
Question:
I purchase a Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector HM47900 Vehicle Side for installation on a 79 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser that I’m restoring. I have two questions about wiring this connector. I do NOT anticipate towing anything that will have or require electric brakes. Can the BLUE wire still be used for the Reverse lights? There is no mention in your video or the instruction regarding the STOP lights. I have separate wires for the Tail/Marker lights, each Turn Signal and the Stop lights. How do I wire the STOP lights? Thanks for your assistance.

The blue wire of the # HM47900 can be used for basically any circuit. Typically for 5-ways like this the reverse light circuit is the most common circuit ran to the 5th wire. So this would work well for your application.
