Replacement Hub, Bearing, and Grease Seal Kit for a UFP H-1062-3 Axle

Question:

I am trying to replace damaged hub with hub kits. The damaged Hub is UFP H1062-3, I cannot find a cross reference to a different manufactor and UFP say they no longer make them. It is a 5 lug 1 1/16inch tapered spindle

To find the correct hub for your axle you typically need to find the part numbers for your bearings and grease seal, or the diameter of the different spots that they sit on your spindle. We actually have had a customer who sent this information in to us so I am able to help you find exactly what you are needing.

According to the customer, your UFP H-1062-3 axle has a spindle that has # L44649 inner and outer bearings, and a grease seal that has a 1.979" OD and a 1.372" ID, like part # BB60005. Since you said that you have a 5 bolt pattern on your hub you most likely have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. I have attached a link to our selection of hubs that use same bearings and have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern for you to filter through.

One of the most popular idler hub options that we have is the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,200-lb Axles # 8-258-5UC1. It comes with the # L44649 bearings but the grease seal is incorrect. You will simply need to purchase the Grease Seal Set # 13194 in addition and use it instead of the supplied grease seal as it fits the hub better than the Set # BB60005.
