Winch Wiring Kit Recommendation for Powering Winch at Rear of Vehicle
Question:
I want to put a 2000lb winch in the bed of my truckload pull in my golf cart when I go camping. Is it possible to wire it to a seven prong plug that I can plug into my truck when the trailer is not plugged in to power it?

I have a great solution for you but what you described would most likely not work due to the amperage draw of the winch and the amperage rating of that circuit. Typically the 12 volt power circuit of a 7-way is only rated for 40 amps and winches like yours can easily need more power than that.
A kit like the part # BDW20307 will work great for what you are needing. This comes with long sections of 6 gauge wire and is designed for up to 4k winches.
