110 PSI Valve Stems for Trailer Tires  

Question:

need trailer tires ,upgrading to a load range f am10501 kenda tire.alum rims i have are rated for 3500 lbs with rubber valve stems and i run 80 psi max.If i run the kenda tires and put in metal valve stems . would the higher pressure be a problem going to 110 psi.trailer is 14000 lbs max i will not overload just want a good tire

In almost all cases the limiting factor for tire pressure on a wheel setup is the valve stem. If you upgrade the valve stem in your wheels to ones that can handle 110 psi like what the part # AM10501 calls for you'd be fine.

Usually valve stems that are rated for 110 psi will be metal such as # AM20906.
