According to Roadmaster, a stop light switch like part # RM-751454 will be required in order for the vehicle's brake lights to illuminate while the using the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251 on your 2016 Ford Focus. Unfortunately, we do not have an installation video of the stop light switch at this time but all you will need to do to install the unit is mount the bracket directly behind the brake pedal and attach the power wire to the cold side of the brake pedal. You will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 in order to find the cold wire or the one that only activates while the brake pedal is depressed.
In order to maintain a charge on the vehicle's battery you will want to run a charge line kit like part # RM-156-25 from the RV's battery to the vehicle's battery.
