AC-Powered Winch for Indoor Use
Question:
I want to adapt this winch to lift and lower a baptistery cover at out church. Is there and ac adapter available? Since I will be way under the capacity of the winch is there a way to set a stop so I dont tear the lift handle right out of the top? The cover is hinged on one side and a lift handle on the other, it would pull up against a wall. If this one wouldnt work do you have any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

The Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW15018 is made for use with a DC power source such as a 12-volt battery on a trailer but we do have AC-powered winches that are displayed on the linked page. These are available in various weight capacities.
For instance we have the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch # DL25019, rated for 2700-lbs, that includes a 25-foot cable with hook. This winch also features a wired remote control, which may make it ideal for your application. A great resource to use to help you choose the right winch is the linked article concerning electric winches.
