Recommended Yakima Roof Track System and Cargo Basket for 2014 Ford F-150 Bed
Question:
I have a 2014 Ford f150, 5.5foot bed with a retractable tonneau cover. Ive been looking at adding some Yakima 54 or 60 inch tracks on the bed side rails along with the control towers and cargo basket. Do you know how wide the Yakima tracks are? The side rails have the plastic trim covering them. Would plus nuts work on the side rails given the plastic trim and sheet metal?

The Yakima tracks like # Y01127 or # Y01135 are 1-5/8 inch wide and 1/2 inch tall. Installing these on your truck bed rails is possible as long as you secure them. I believe the plus nuts you mentioned will work well as long as you go all the way through the plastic and metal.

Then I recommend the Yakima MegaWarrior Extra Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07080. I suggest securing it to your roof rack with the locking brackets # Y07064. You will also want to use the keyed alike lock cores like # Y07204.
