Question:

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have found a 25inch slipper end, 3 leaf. 13/4 wide. The distance between the eye bolt and the hanger in the trailer is 231/2 inch Should I be OK with this one?

We unfortunately do not have exactly the spring you are looking for. What I recommend is getting the 3-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Radius End for 1,500-lb Trailer Axles - 24-5/8" Long # SP-178275 and moving your rear hanger forward because you will be within 1/4 inch of where your axle would have been with this spring. Then you will be able to replace springs as needed and still support your sailboat properly for transport. If you want a bolt on slipper spring hanger for the rear, I recommend the CE Smith Rear Hanger Bracket for Trailer Slipper Springs - Galvanized Steel # CE14017G.

Although you should be okay with a 25 inch slipper spring giving you that 1-1/2 inches to spare, I can't promise it will work perfectly fine. You could possibly have an issue with an empty trailer combined with a large bump. I know that isn't what you ideally wanted to hear, but I also know you don't want to have trailer problems.
