Replacement Electric Drum Brake Assembly for 3,500 Pound Trailer Axle

Question:

Im seeing all the brake kits are showing 10inch by 2inch and the video is saying 10inch by 21/4inch do they make both sizes? if so I would have to pull a wheel and drum to measure mine.

The 10 x 2-1/4 inch drum brakes we have available, such as the etrailer.com Electric Trailer Brake Assembly - Right Hand # AKEBRK-35R that you referenced, are all in fact 10 inches in diameter and 2-1/4 inches wide. There is not a 10 x 2 inch size currently available.

If your trailer has 3,500 pound axles, this will be the correct size brake assembly. You will just want to make sure that the 4 bolt mounting flange pattern on this assembly matches the existing mounting flange on your axle. This will fit wheel sizes of 13, 14 and 15 inches.

For the Left Hand assembly, you will want part # AKEBRK-35L.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
