9-Pole Truck Connector to 7-Pin Trailer Connector Solution
Question:
Hi there, I have a used 92 F-250 that has Pollak 9-pole connectors both coming out of the bed and under the tailgate. I also have a used 95 Aljo trailer that has a 7-blade connector coming out of it. Im trying to figure out how to connect the two. Ive seen a lot of questions regarding adapating the other way around i.e. from a 7-blade truck to a 9-pole trailer but nothing about going from a 9-pole truck to a 7-blade trailer. Your assistance is much appreciated.

Is there a reason your truck has a 9-pole? Do you need all 9 functions active? Your life would be much easier if you cut off the 9-way and installed a 7-way in place of it like part # HM48480. This is a much more common type of connector that will allow you to work with your current trailer as well as with future trailers.
I attached a diagram for the 7-way for you to check out as well.
