How to Reduce Sag Towing Trailer With 2012 Mercedes ML350
Question:
Hi, I’m wondering if there is a way to improve the sagging of the rear suspension of my 2012 Mercedes ML350 Bluetec when I Connect my trailer. I don’t have the air ride suspension. The vehicle’s tongue weight is rated at 575 lbs and trailer is within spec at about 400lbs but even unloaded, I see a few inches of . Thanks

Best option is a weight distribution system. A WD system will take and distribute some of the trailer tongue weight up to the front axle of the tow vehicle which greatly reduces sag and improves braking and handling.
The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
Best weight distribution system we have for that would be the part # RP66082 which has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs and features only sway control available that works to prevent sway before it starts.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
