I went out to our warehouse to take a look at the Bulldog Square Jack # BD182701 referenced in your question. I measured a total length on the jack, when retracted, of 28-1/2 inches. It is a 4 inch x 4 inch square jack.
This is a heavy-duty, sturdy steel jack that features an integrated screw stop to prevent damage to the screw and nut by over-extending. It has a total lift of 12-1/2 inches and a lift capacity of 12,500 pounds. You can add the Sidewind Crank Assembly with part # BD015181.
