Recommmended Trailer Hitch, Bike Rack, and Snowboard Carrier for 2016 Porsche Cayenne
Question:
Hello, I have a Porsche Cayenne with panoramic roof and no factory rails. I am planning on putting on crossbars and roof boxes. I was wondering if there is load capacity for panoramic roof. Thank you

I reached out to my contacts at the roof rack manufacturers and none of them recommend putting a roof rack on your panoramic roof, not do they have a fit for your 2016 Porsche Cayenne with that style roof.
I do have a solution for you, but it is 3 steps. You may already have some of them, so bear with me. I recommend starting with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75950. This will give you a trailer hitch to allow you to use a bike rack and other accessories. For a snowboard and ski rack, I recommend you use this trailer hitch receiver and then add the Thule Apex 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9025XT. Not only will this give you a great bike rack with all the locks, but it will allow you to also use the Thule Tram Ski and Snowboard Carrier Adapter for Hitch-Mounted Bike Racks # TH9033. This will allow you to carry 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards with your Porsche Cayenne and still give you the panoramic roof view. You can use the Thule Cable Lock w/ One Key System Lock - 6' Long # TH538XT to further secure your gear if desired.
