Mounting Range for Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller

Question:

I have a new holden colorado which has an under dash air bag where you would normally mount the brake controller and I am having difficulty finding a place to mount it. Is it possible to mount the controller on its side still facing forward at about a 45 degree angle or will this render it inoperable. Thanks.

The Primus IQ part # TK90160 has to face the rear of the vehicle squarely, sit level side to side, and also not point down at all. Since it is one of the earlier models of the proportional brake controllers it has a pretty limited mounting range. I attached pictures that show how it has to orientate.

If there's no way for you to find a way to install the controller like that then you'd need to go to something like the # RED24FR which has a knob that can be mounted pretty much anywhere.
